David Beckstrom DVM

Dr. Beckstrom grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and obtained his DVM degree from Oklahoma State University. He joined the practice in 2013 after owning another practice in the Denver metro area for 23 years. He and his wife have lived and raised their 4 children in this community. They have a Shih Tzu named Rookie, which is Dr. Bs little buddy. When he isn’t at the clinic he’ll likely be working on his hotrod or gone fishing.

Melanie Schlote DVM

Dr. Melanie Schlote is originally from Canada but has lived in Colorado most of her life. She completed a Bachelor of Science in biological science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, both from Colorado State University. She also obtained acupuncture certification through CuraCore in 2018. Her professional interests include orthopedics, surgery, physical therapy/rehabilitation and arthritis/pain management. She has a labrador mix named Boone and a chinchilla named Poluna. In her free time, Dr. Mel likes to enjoy the Colorado outdoors with hiking, rafting, kayaking and snowboarding.

Justin Daughtry DVM

Dr. Daughtry is the newest member of the Greenwood Village Veterinary Team. He and his family recently relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Daughtry is originally from Philadelphia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1997 and decided to dedicate the first part of his professional career to human physical therapy. He earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 from Drexel University. Dr. Daughtry truly enjoyed being a caregiver and helping people heal from injuries and illness; however, after eleven years within that profession, he developed a strong desire to transfer his caregiving to our four legged friends. He then attended the UC-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in 2016 with honors. To further pursue postgraduate advanced study in small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Daughtry completed a veterinary internship at VCA Loomis Basin. After his internship, he served as an associate veterinarian in the San Francisco Bay Area. His areas of interest include geriatric care medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and surgery. When not at the clinic, Dr. Daughtry, his wife Julie, his son Asher, and their German Short-Haired Pointer “Zeke” are outside hiking, backpacking, bird watching, and exploring

Anika Farina DVM

Dr. Farina grew up along the east coast with a variety of small animal pets including English Springer Spaniel pups. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Ecology/Evolutionary Biology at The University Colorado Boulder before returning to Massachusetts to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2018. Her interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, shelter medicine, and Fear Free handling techniques to decrease patient stress during veterinary examinations. When not in the clinic she enjoys running, skiing, sailing, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.


Gina McNamara

Gina joined the GVVC team in December of 2016 as a certified veterinary technician. Gina graduated from Bel-Rea with honors in June of 2013. Gina is a Colorado native who enjoys spending time with her two German Shepherds and her ball python named Boopie.

Keary Eaton

Practice Manager

Keary joined the GVVC family in April of 2017. Keary is a Colorado native who adjusts to different roles in the veterinary practice. She supports reception and is a vital team member working with clients and patients as a veterinary assistant. Keary has two feline friends and boa constrictors that she adores. Keary spends her free time hiking and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.

Jay Kuberski

Jay joined the GVVC team in April of 2018 as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Jay graduated from Pima Medical Institute in July of 2015. As a Colorado native, Jay enjoys going to the mountains,, riding horses, and fishing with her fiance Mike. She has one Boston Terrier baby, Jaws.

Melissa Montoya

Melissa joined the team December 2017. Melissa has always had a love and passion for animals, especially her sweet pug Named Wags. She grew up in Wisconsin but has made Colorado her home since high school. In her free time, she enjoys concerts and spending time with her friends and family.


Amanda graduated from Bel-Rea in September of 2018 but has been working in the veterinary field for over 3 years now. Animals are her passion and she has 4 animals of her own, 2 cats and 2 dogs. In her free time she likes to go hiking, camping, and exploring with her fur babies.
